Dr. Ashmita Khasnabish Discusses Her New Book, Humanitarian Identity and the Political Sublime

Scholar Ashmita Khasnabish joins us to explain how she merges Western/European philosophy of Enlightenment with Eastern/India intellectual and spiritual thought in her ambitious new book, Humanitarian Identity and the Political Sublime. Ms. Khasnabish grew up in India, came to the United Sates to further her studies, and is now a Lexington resident. She is a former visiting scholar at the Pembroke Center for Teaching and Research on Women at Brown University and a visiting research associate at the Women's Studies Research Center at Brandeis University. She is currently teaching at Massachusetts College of Art and Design and also a Visiting Scholar at MIT.
