Hello Friends, I am back with REALLY EXCITING NEWS.

But first let me tell you all about my last week’s happenings.

Well, on June 14^th., I attended the Woman of the year function, at the Westin Hotel in Waltham, beautifully organized by The India New England Newspaper. Hearty Congratulations to Mr.Upendra Mishra and his team, for organizing such an inspiring event (especially for the women).

It was well attended, the food catered by Bombay Club was excellent and all the 20 nominees deserved the honor they were bestowed with! More power to women!

Now to the exciting news--- A.R. REHMAN IS COMING TO BOSTON TO PERFORM LIVE ON FRIDAY JULY 9^th. 8PM @ TSONGAS CENTER AT UMASS LOWELL, MA.

Yes, this time this is absolutely true that the Oscar and the Grammy award winner, and the winner of umpteen awards in India and abroad, Mr. A.R.REHMAN will be among us to entertain, to enthrall, and to sweep us off our feet; both with his compositions and his resonating voice.

Accompanying him are HARIHARAN, (He needs no introduction), BENNY DAYAL (He is Rahman’s discovery and his debut song ‘KABHI KABHI ADITI MUJHE AISA LAGTA HAI’ from the hit film Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, became a rage among youngsters); SHWETA PANDIT( She has been singing as a playback singer both in Hindi and Telugu film, since the age of 5 years. Barely 24 years old, she has  won the  Filmfare (Telugu south awards) Best Female Singer award for her hit song Nenani Neevani from the film ‘Kotha Bangaru Lokam, in 2009; JAAVED ALI (He has become famous with the songs, Tum Mile from the film of the same title, Kajrare from the  hit film Bunti Aur Babli, Jashn E Bahara from the super hit film Jodha Akbar and Guzarish from the blockbuster hit film Ghajini ); Neeti Mohan ( A beautiful girl and an  amazing stage performer with a sensuous  voice); Blaaze (A well known Rap artiste and playback singer having provided his vocals in Kannada, Tamil, English and Hindi songs; eg. Slumdog Millionaire, Jaane Tu ya Jaane Na, Bunti Aur Babli, Rang De Basanti and many more)

All in all, it’s a show, jam packed with SUPERLATIVE ENTERTAINMENT PRODUCTION never before brought on stage by any Indian Group, and you just can’t afford to miss it.

I have been told by various people who have seen this JAI HO CONCERT last week, that the stage presentation is of the same caliber as Broadway shows. There are fantabulous dancers of International caliber and the Acoustics will take your breath away. It’s a matter of a great pride for us as Indians that one of our very own is being heralded internationally. Rahman’s talent is indeed incomparable to anybody in the present era, and it’s both our privilege and pride to see HIM LIVE IN CONCERT.

This is an opportunity of a lifetime to see a CONCERT OF SUCH STATURE IN OUR VERY OWN TOWN.

So friends, pass the word around and welcome RAHMAN with such aplomb that he performs THE BEST for us. As you all know that for a live performance, a hall filled with an attentive and appreciative audience brings out the Best in the Artiste. Boston is well known for being a connoisseur of the Arts. So let us be there in large numbers to see the performance of a MAESTRO MUSICIAN, A GENIUS--- LIVE IN CONCERT.
