Happy Holidays!

I took a rather long break after the JAI HO CONCERT in Worcester starring the living legend MR.A. R.RAHMAN. But I am back, ready to share my innermost thoughts with all of you.

I have been doing this ( I mean organizing Live Concerts---some Big , some Small and some MEGA BIG like the last one) for over 15 years now . Often, its excruciatingly tiring, time consuming and stressful and yet, when you are offered an opportunity to be involved with SUCH AMAZING STARS, your adrenalin starts to pump with RENEWED ENERGY, UNBELIAVABLE VIGOUR & UNENDING  ENTHUSIASM,

You begin to feel young again. My husband refers to my this mental state as  ‘ KEEDA” ( it means “the bug” in Hindi)  It’s as if you have a bug which drives you to this heightened state of excitement pushing  you to undertake projects  sometimes  beyond boundary of common reasoning.  This "Keeda" drives me to see all Hindi films screenings on friday night, no matter how cold it is out there.  It has been with me since  my early teens and it is a pleasure and fun to keep it nourished.  

Well, whatever he may call it;  the spirit is certainly alive and kicking.  Almost two and a half months have passed, since what you may refer to as the  “FATHER OF ALL SHOWS”. As far as the concert is concerned, the unanimous verdict was “never before such a show was ever seen”. I must thank all those patrons and sponsors who made it a successful event despite, it being staged on a weekday.

BOLLYWOOD GRILL was the chief sponsor and as usual, they were excellent. ALANKAR DECORATORS and USHA’s BEAUTY PARLOUR too gave us their sincere support. I thank them once again.

MR.RAHMAN has certainly raised the standard of the Indian concerts coming abroad.  Let’s see if the concerts in the future will be able to rise to this benchmark. I certainly hope so. The year is coming to an end and we are already planning on entertaining our community in the spring.

One of the shows we are presently working on in March is Sonu Nigam along with over 40 piece symphony orchestra singing yesteryears songs of  Mohd. Rafi, Kishor Kumar etc.

Also A hilarious Gujrati play LO GUJJUBHAI GHODE CHADIYA will be staged in April. The famous GUJRATI STAGE COMEDY KING  SDDHARTH RANDERIA will be the star, accompanied by 9 talented and well known actors. 

So now we are getting ready for a HAPPY HEALTHY 2011 and in a few weeks time bid goodbye to 2010.

BTW, soon after the A.R.RAHMAN concert, my husband ANIL and I took a 2 week trip to the Far East. I shall share my experiences of that delightful vacation in my next blog

This weekend do make time to enjoy the multi- star comedy NO PROBLEM having it’s world premier release on 10^th Dec. in the Fresh Pond Entertainment Cinemas @ 168 Alewife Brook Parkway in Cambridge Ma.
